Open, closed, connected

Happy Summer Solstice! The days are at their longest and nature bursts in all its glory. As newbies in Sweden we are looking forward to our first Midsommar experience, as it is an important tradition that holds a special place in the hearts of Swedes. Tomorrow will be the big day.

It’s probably everywhere in the northern hemisphere, but man, the Swedish landschap is breathtaking. All this green and wildflowers. As my daughter and I weave these blooms into our hair tomorrow, we celebrate the abundance and vitality of nature at this time of year.

One of the most famous traditions during Midsommar is decorating the maypole, or ‘midsommarstång’. With ribbons and flowers, the maypole becomes the center for dancing and singing. Midsommar also symbolizes the arrival of the summer season, a time for relaxation, rejuvenation, and connecting with loved ones. Swedes truly embrace the essence of this time.

Closed during Summer

Just as the Swedish people take their time to relax, I too will be closing my online yoga business for a few weeks. Midsommar provides me with an opportunity to step away from the demands of work and to celebrate the season with my family.

This break from teaching and daily responsibilities offers me a chance to focus on self-improvement and business development. I want to improve my website and explore new ideas to grow my online yoga business. I know summer works as a catalyst for inspiration and creativity. So in August I will be fresh and ready to make you feel connected and to make your life relaxed and happy.

We stay connected

Meanwhile I continue to send you a message every Thursday. To remind you of the importance of being present in the moment, to cherish the beauty all around you and to feel the connections we share with both nature and loved ones. I simply love to write about the appreciation for the simple things, the deep respect I feel for nature and finding balance in all aspects of life.

I wish you a great summer! With a lot of joyful moments <3
